Star City Waste Water Treatment Plant
MUB’s Star City waste water treatment plant plant provides a secondary level of treatment, using both activated sludge and rotating biological contactors (RBC) technologies.. The plant’s current treated flow average is 10 million fully treated gallons of wastewater a day with a rated capacity of 12 million fully treated gallons per day. The plant is scheduled to undergo a multi-million dollar upgrade beginning in 2016. This upgrade is critical not only in meeting EPA standards but ensuring that Morgantown’s growing infrastructure needs are met.
