Monongalia County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day
August 11th at Morgantown Utility Board
Morgantown Utility Board is hosting Monongalia County Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHWC) Day on Saturday, August 11th from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at MUB’s office location of 278 Greenbag Road. The event is free and open to all Monongalia County residents.
Items being collected include oil based paint, batteries, pesticides, motor oil, antifreeze, and much more. Latex paints are not being accepted but can be easily disposed of by mixing with saw dust or kitty litter, letting dry, and placing in normal trash. One week prior to HHWC, on August 4 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friends of Deckers Creek is hosting Paint Exchange Day at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park. To learn more about this event visit deckerscreek.org.
