Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day statistics!

Household Hazardous Waste Collection (HHWC) Day was another resounding success. Not only did we have a record number of cars at 410 but collected an amazing amount of materials, ZERO percent of which ended up in landfills! Below are stats on the event.

Total vehicles: 410 (a record day)
Total collected weight: 19,203 lbs (9.6 Tons)

*Total Amount Recycled: 9,830 lbs (4.915 Tons)
*Total Amount in Energy Recovery: 5,802 lbs (2.901 Tons)
*Total Amount through Treatment: 2,389 lbs (1.1945 Tons)

* These three classifications are ALL recycled for a total of 18,021 lbs (9.01 Tons) – for a 93.84% recycling rate

Total Amount Incinerated: 1,182 lbs – 6.16% was not able to be recycled
Amount sent to landfill: 000 - 0% was sent to a landfill
