University Avenue – Collins Ferry Road construction
The below construction projects will impact traffic in the area of the University Avenue – Collins Ferry Road intersection in Suncrest. This work is being done at the request of, and funded by, the West Virginia Division of Highways in support of the roundabout project.
University Avenue
Beginning Monday (September 14) University Avenue will be a single lane from the Kroger fuel station entrance to Baldwin Street for road repair. This work will be performed Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to roughly 6 p.m. While we anticipate this work being completed in a single week, there is always the possibility of it extending into the following week.
Collins Ferry Road
Beginning Sunday evening (September 13) at 7:30 p.m. Collins Ferry Road will be closed from University Avenue to Milford Street. Work will be performed Sunday through Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. and will continue for approximately four weeks. The road will reopen during non-work hours. During construction hours, through traffic on Collins Ferry Road will be detoured along University Avenue, Junior Avenue and Aspen Street.
