​Drone footage of the work to repair the Deckers Creek Interceptor

The work off Don Knotts Blvd just off of the University Avenue bridge is being completed to permit access to a broken sewer main along Deckers Creek. This main was impacted when a portion of the extremely steep hill above it slipped during heavy rain this past June. Part of the repair includes stabilizing the hillside to help prevent future slips. This involves removing and replacing approximately 3,000 cubic feet of unsuitable fill material as well as reinforcing the sewer main.

We anticipate the interceptor repair to continue throughout the next couple of months. In the meantime, we will continue pumping sanitary sewer flows around the break.
