Evansdale Project Update
MUB contractor Insight Pipe has completed all sanitary and storm pipe lining, with the exception of one remaining 8-inch sanitary segment on Oakland Alley. We are currently coordinating with Insight Pipe to complete this final section.
We are also working to schedule road restoration on Dudley Avenue. That work is pending the reopening of the asphalt plant.
To date, approximately 1,000 feet of storm pipe and 3,000 feet of sanitary pipe have been lined, eight point repairs have been completed, and 10 manholes have been installed.
This project has renewed aging sanitary pipes in the neighborhood without the need to excavate entire road surfaces. The lining process has made possible a project that would have taken months and cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. In addition, the work focused on the separation of storm and sanitary sewers, an integral part of Morgantown Utility Board's mission.
