​Fire Hydrant Testing

MUB crews are assisting the Morgantown Fire Department with fire hydrant testing in the Wiles Street/Richwood Avenue area today. Hydrant testing helps ensure that the devices function properly and maintain pressure necessary to fight fires. Also, flushing serves to remove sediment from the system which helps maintain a high quality of water.
