First Ward Sanitary Sewer Line Inspection and Cleaning
Beginning on Monday, August 25, a Morgantown Utility Board contractor (Insight Pipe Contracting) will begin a three-week process of inspecting and cleaning sanitary sewer lines in First Ward. This work will have no impact on service.
The roughly 12,000 feet of sanitary lines to be inspected and cleaned include the length of the following streets: Globe, Astor, Southern, Hayes, Hess, Adeline, Twigg, Standard, Todd, Rose (Street and Alley), and Greer.
Portions of the following streets will also be inspected and cleaned: Lawnwood, Madison, Hite, Mildred, Elysian, and Callen (Avenue and Alley).
Again, this project will not impact service although it may require brief street closures as the contractor inspects and cleans the system. Anyone with questions or comments can call (304) 292-8443 or email customer-service@mub.org.
