Beechurst Avenue UPDATE
Beechurst Avenue work to continue through the week
Due to additional infrastructure repairs on Beechurst Avenue, Morgantown Utility Board expects the work to continue through the remainder of the workweek. Given this, on Thursday and Friday, the southbound lane and left turning lane (heading toward downtown) of Beechurst Avenue between 6th Street and 7th Street (in front of the Senaca Center) will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. MUB flaggers will divert all traffic into the single northbound lane. Plates will be placed over the worksite overnight and the road reopened.
We realize the inconvenience this causes; however, protecting public safety is at the forefront of all that we do. We reiterate that motorists should expect significant delays along Beechurst Avenue and are encouraged to avoid the area when possible.
