MUB to begin stormwater work along Baldwin Street

Today (Thursday, May 28) through roughly June 12th, MUB crews will close Baldwin Street from Patteson Drive to Takoma Street between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Baldwin Street will reopen after 4 p.m. and on weekends.
MUB crews will spend today positioning additional supplies and equipment. Street cutting will likely begin tomorrow with digging on Baldwin Street beginning on Monday, June 1st.
Initial work will involve the setting of a manhole at Patteson Drive and Baldwin Street. Crews will then work toward Takoma Street. Sometime after June 12th, the second phase of work will involve the closure of Baldwin Street from Takoma Street to Krepps Avenue.
Residents will have access to their homes and driveways. Every effort will also be made to permit traffic access to Baldwin Street via Takoma Street at all times.

MUB to begin stormwater work along Baldwin Street
Work part of DOH roundabout project
During the first week of June and continuing into July, Morgantown Utility Board will begin installation of approximately 1,570 feet of 18-inch gravity storm line and eight manholes along Baldwin Street. The project is scheduled to progress from the intersection with Patteson Drive toward University Avenue.
Road closures along Baldwin Street will be necessary during the work hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Crews will make every effort to reopen the street after 4 p.m. and on weekends. Road surface restoration will occur as work progresses. Detours may also be necessary where Baldwin Street and University Avenue intersect and also where Baldwin Street and Patteson Drive intersect.
This work is being performed on behalf of the West Virginia Department of Highways in support of the DOH’s roundabout project at the intersection of University Avenue and Collins Ferry Road. In preparation for this work, MUB will mobilize equipment and station supplies at/along Baldwin Street where possible.
