​MUB to Begin Work on Fayette Street

Beginning Monday, February 2, MUB crews will close Fayette Street (adjacent to Morgantown Market Place) from Spruce Street to the dead end. The project will replace 320 feet of a 2-inch cast iron waterline that has experienced numerous leaks.

Work is expected to be completed by early March, weather permitting.

During construction, detours will be posted for vehicles entering and exiting nearby parking areas. These detours will change as work progresses. No water service disruptions are expected until the new line is installed and customer service laterals are renewed. MUB will provide notification prior to any service interruptions.
