​Van Voorhis Road Closure

A contractor for Morgantown Utility Board will close Van Voorhis Road from 5 a.m. Sunday, July 28 until approximately 5 a.m. Monday, July 29. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during the road closure. The planned detour includes using Chestnut Ridge Road, Pineview Drive, and West Run Road. A map of the detour is available via Dropbox by clicking here. Please note that as the work progresses, a single lane of Van Voorhis Road may be reopened to traffic.

The closure is necessary to replace 60-feet of a 36-inch steel encased 24-inch sanitary sewer main with PVC. This work is part of the West Virginia Division of Highways Van Voorhis Road widening project.

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, August 4.
