MUB sends letters to customers regarding Water Service Line Inventory
Makes public GIS based map of inventory results
This week, approximately 20,000 MUB customers received letters concerning their water service lines. The letters were sent to customers whose water service lines are either unknown or reported to be galvanized steel. Customers who previously completed the inventory survey may not have received the mailing if the service line was fully identified.
The letters are part of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirement that water utilities identify the material of water service lines. This includes water service lines in local homes, businesses, daycares, and schools.
