Project Description:
The Appalachian Lake Dam Removal Project area is located along West Virginia Route 26 in Preston County, West Virginia.
The scope of work is to install and maintain construction entrance, access road, and erosion and sediment controls; dewater Appalachian Lake (located in Preston County, West Virginia); excavate and waste 6,550 cubic yards of existing dam material; and re-vegetate site and exposed lake.
Directions:
From Morgantown, West Virginia take Interstate 68 East to Exit 23 (Bruceton Mills). Take West Virginia Route 26 North/East for approximately 9 miles. The project site is on the right on property owned by Mr. Doug Smith.
